WHAT IS THE HOME DETOX?

The Home Detox is a lifestyle and interiors service designed to transform both your home and your daily life. From home organisation and decluttering to interior styling, bespoke builds, and events, we create spaces and systems that bring balance and ease.

WHO IS BEHIND THE HOME DETOX TEAM?

The Home Detox is led by Stacey, a professional home organiser and interior stylist with 4 years’ experience running The Home Detox and over 15 years in event management and organisation. Alongside her is Mike, who brings 25 years of culinary expertise as well as practical skills in bespoke projects, painting, and decorating. Together, we offer a complete service — from transforming your home to curating unforgettable events.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

The Home Detox is based in Deal, Kent, and we work across the South East including St Margate's Bay, Dover, Sandwich, Canterbury, and Thanet. We’re also happy to travel further afield. Projects outside a 10-mile radius from CT14 are charged at 45p per mile, plus parking and tolls where applicable.

HOW LONG DO YOU TAKE TO RESPOND TO ENQUIRIES?

We aim to respond within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours at weekends.

DO I NEED TO CLEAN OR TIDY BEFORE YOU ARRIVE?

No — it’s important for The Home Detox to see the natural flow of your home so solutions can be tailored to how you really live.

HOW DOES THE BOOKING PROCESS WORK?

Every project begins with a free 30-minute consultation (phone, Zoom, or in-person). From there, a tailored plan is created and scheduled to suit your needs.

DO I NEED TO BE AT HOME WHILE YOU'RE WORKING?

For the decluttering process, it’s usually best if we work together so you can decide what to keep and what to let go. However, some clients prefer to go through items in advance, leaving The Home Detox to focus on the organising and styling steps. It really depends on the level of support you’d like. We will always adapt to what feels right for you.

DO YOU PROVIDE STORAGE SOLUTIONS?

Yes. The Home Detox can work with your existing storage or recommend stylish, practical options from trusted suppliers to suit your budget.

CAN YOU HELP WITH BOTH SMALL AREA AND FULL HOME TRANSFORMATIONS?

Yes. From a single wardrobe reset to full home projects, The Home Detox tailors its service to projects of every scale.

3. Lifestyle & Events

DO YOU OFFER EVENTS OR PRIVATE DINING?

Yes. With the business expanding, The Home Detox now offers bespoke dining and event services. Mike brings 25 years of culinary expertise, creating personalised dining experiences and milestone celebrations that are planned and delivered with care.

DO YOU ALSO OFFFER DECORATING OR BESPOKE BUILDS?

Yes. Through the Home Projects & Bespoke Builds service, The Home Detox provides tailored solutions such as media walls, decorating, and made-to-measure storage. These services complement the organising and styling work, creating a seamless finish.

4. Pricing & Booking

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

Services are tailored to each client. As a guideline, The Home Detox services start from £25 per hour. Contact the team for a personalised quote based on your goals.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION TERMS?

Cancellations made within 48 hours are charged at 50% of the agreed fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours are charged at 100%.

5. Reassurance & Extra Details

WILL YOU MAKE ME THROW AWAY ITEMS I LOVE?

No. Every decision rests with the client. The Home Detox will never pressure you to part with items you love, and instead suggests recycling, donating, or rehoming options for anything you no longer need.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE ITEMS I NO LONGER WANT TO KEEP?

The Home Detox can recycle, donate, or dispose of unwanted items on your behalf. A small charge of £2.50 per bag applies, or local partners can be recommended to assist at an additional cost.

WILL YOU TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS?

Only with your permission. Progress photos or videos are a useful way to capture transformations, but they will only be taken and used with signed consent.

WHAT IF I FEEL EMBARRASSED BY MY HOME?

There is no judgment. The Home Detox is designed to support, not criticise, and every project begins exactly where you are now.

DO YOU WORK WITH ALL BUDGETS AND HOME SIZES?

Yes. The Home Detox works with clients in homes of all sizes, from small flats to large houses, always aiming to deliver maximum impact within your budget.

HOW QUICKLY CAN I BOOK IN?

Availability varies depending on current projects, but The Home Detox will always aim to accommodate your timeframe. Urgent requests can be prioritised where possible.
